JS SAMIDARE conducted a bilateral Japan-India exercise with the INS SUKANYA

On July 23, JS SAMIDARE conducted a bilateral Japan-India exercise with the INS SUKANYA in Indian Ocean to improve our tactical skills and strengthen cooperation with the Indian Navy.
The Japanese commander of the Escort Division 4, Captain TAKAHASHI Hideaki, said, “It is very meaningful that we were able to conduct bilateral exercise with the Indian Navy, the special strategic and global partner in the Indo-Pacific region, is Japan's main maritime traffic route, in order to improve our ability to jointly deal with global issues.”
The Self-Defense Fleet maintains readiness and contributes to the peace and stability of the Indo-Pacific region, the defense of Japan, as well as realization of a “Free and Open Indo-Pacific” in cooperation with allied and friendly navies.
