The Chief of Staff, Commander in Chief Self Defense Fleet attended Fleet Commander's Round table (FCRT)

From June 26 to June 28, RADM YAGI Kouji, the Chief of Staff, Commander in Chief Self Defense Fleet attended Fleet Commander's Round Table (FCRT) in Sydney.
This conference is attended by the Fleet commanders of Japan, the U.S., Australia, and South Korea to share awareness and discuss various destabilizing factors, joint exercises, and defense cooperation for the sake of peace and stability in the region.
RADM YAGI said, “The Self-Defense Fleet will continue to actively conduct activities to realize a Free and Open Indo-Pacific and contribute to peace and stability in the Indo-Pacific region together with partner navies, while maintaining readiness for response.”
The fleet commanders agreed to continue to work together strongly in 2022 to conduct multilateral exercises and train to advanced tactics, such as the Pacific Vanguard exercise, additionally they will actively engage in defense cooperation with Asian and Pacific nations and cooperate to contribute to peace and stability in the Indo-Pacific region.
