JS YAMAGIRI and JS AMAGIRI and SH-60K patrol helicopter, conducted a joint exercise with the Japan Coast Guard patrol vessels AKITSUSHIMA and MIYAKO and JCG helicopter

On June 30, JS YAMAGIRI and JS AMAGIRI and SH -60K patrol helicopter, conducted a joint exercise with the Japan Coast Guard patrol vessels AKITSUSHIMA and MIYAKO and JCG helicopter, in the waters east of Izu Oshima.
The commander, Escort Division11, who was in command of the JMSDF, said, “Through this exercise, we improved the skills of the JMSDF and strengthened our joint response capability with the Japan Coast Guard. The JMSDF has been conducting exercises with the Japan Coast Guard for the purpose of strengthening comprehensive response and cooperation, as well as for the regional security of Japan and surveillance of the sea area around Japan, in close and strong cooperation with the Japan Coast Guard.”
The Self-Defense Fleet maintains readiness and contributes to the defense of Japan and the peace and stability of the sea areas surrounding Japan.
