JS HARUSAME conducted a PASSEX with the Pakistan Navy Ship TUGHRIL

On June 23, JS HARUSAME call at Karachi and conducted a goodwill events with the Pakistan Navy. On June 24, after leaving port, the unit conducted a PASSEX off Karachi with Pakistan Navy ship TUGHRIL, to enhance our tactical skills and deepen mutual understanding between the JMSDF and the Pakistan Navy.
JS HARUSAME will soon arrive in the waters off the coast of Somalia and in the Gulf of Aden to engage counter-piracy missions to secure stable use and order of a main sea line.
The Self-Defense Fleet remains responsive and integrates with friendly navies, making full use of the flexibility and mobility that are characteristic of the naval forces in order to realize a “Free and open Indo-Pacific”, contributes to stability in the Indo-Pacific region.
The Self Defense Fleet works closely with the U.S. Navy to contribute to peace and stability in the Indo-Pacific region, both for the defense of Japan and for the realization of a “Free and Open Indo-Pacific.”
