IPD22 unit conducted bilateral exercise “OGURI-VERNY 22-4” with French Navy

June 27, the IPD22 unit (JS IZUMO and JS TAKANAMI) conducted a bilateral exercise “OGURI-VERNY 22-4” with French Navy FS PRAIRIAL in vicinity of Hawaii.
Through the exercise, the IPD22 enhanced tactical skills and strengthened cooperation with the French Forces, and has shown unity with the French Navy towards the realization of “Free and Open Indo-Pacific”.
The Self-Defense Fleet maintains readiness, contributing to the defense of Japan and the maintenance to maritime order based on law, as well as stability in the Indo-Pacific region with friendly navies.
