IPD22 unit conducted trilateral exercise with U.S. Navy and Royal Australian Navy

From 19 to 24 June, the IPD22 unit conducted a trilateral exercise with the U.S. Navy “ABRAHAM LINCOLN” Carrier Strike Group and Royal Australian Navy “CANBERRA” group in the Pacific Ocean.
Through this exercise, in addition to improving JMSDF's tactical capabilities and strengthening cooperation between JMSDF, U.S. Navy and Royal Australian Navy, “Free and Open Indo Pacific” between Japan, the United States and Australia, which share basic values and strategic interests.
The Self-Defense Fleet remains responsive, continue to integrate with allied and friendly navies, safeguards the peace and security of Japan, and contributes to the stability in the Indo-Pacific region.
