JS TAKANAMI and JS YAMAGIRI conducted joint exercise with the Japan Coast Guard
On December 22, JS TAKANAMI and JS YAMAGIRI conducted joint exercise with the Japan Coast Guard (JCG) patrol ship BUKO and AGUNI in the waters east of Izu-Oshima.
The commanding officer of the Escort Division 11(CAPT SAWADA Toshihiko) stated, “Through this joint training, we have improved our skills and our ability to operate jointly with JCG. The JMSDF has been conducting exercises to strengthen comprehensive countermeasures and cooperation with the JCG, as well as conducting patrol and surveillance of Japan's territorial waters and surrounding waters in close and strong cooperation.”
