JS YUGIRI conducted bilateral exercise with the HMS Queen Elizabeth Carrier Strike Group

November 11, JS YUGIRI as the 39th Deployment Surface Force for Counter piracy Enforcement, conducted bilateral exercise with the HMS Queen Elizabeth Carrier Strike Group, enhanced our tactical skills and cooperation with the Royal Navy.
The Commanding Officer of JS YUGIRI, CDR KUMASHIRO Takeshi, stated, “We are proud to have been able to conduct bilateral exercise with the Royal Navy, an important partner that has clearly embodied its involvement in the Indo-Pacific region through its deployment in the East China Sea and other areas since August. Working together with the Royal Navy's Carrier Strike Group in the Indian Ocean, which is Japan's main sea line of communication, was also a very meaningful opportunity for us to address global issues. JS YUGIRI will engage all our energy in counter piracy missions to protect maritime order based on the rule of law.”
The Self-Defense Fleet remains responsive and integrates with partner countries in order to realize a Free and Open Indo-Pacific, contributes to support stability in the Indo-Pacific region.
