IPD21 force conducted the multi-lateral training “Maritime Partnership Exercise”

October 15-18, IPD21 unit JS KAGA and JS MURASAME conducted the multi-lateral training “Maritime Partnership Exercise” in the Bay of Bengal.
The USS Carl Vinson carrier strike group, the HMS Queen Elizabeth carrier strike group, and HMAS Ballarat participated in the exercise. Through advanced tactical training, we enhance our tactical skills and cooperation with participating navies.
The fact that such a large-scale joint exercise was conducted in the Indian Ocean, an internationally important sea line of communication, demonstrates the strong unity and will of Japan, the U.S., Australia, and the U.K., which share fundamental values and strategic interests, toward the realization of a Free and Open Indo-Pacific.
Despite COVID-19, The Self-Defense Fleet remains responsive and strength, integrates with allied and partner navies, contributes to support stability in the Indo-Pacific region and, by extension, the international community.
