IPD21 force conducted joint training with the Indian Navy

October 6-8, IPD21 unit JS KAGA and JS MURASAME conducted joint training with INS Kochi, INS Teg and Indian Navy's aircraft in the waters west of India.
The Commanding Officer of IPD21 force, the Commander of Flotilla 3, RADM IKEUCHI Izuru, stated, “We conducted joint training “JIMEX” with the Indian Navy, to enhance our tactical skills and cooperation with the Indian Navy. The JMSDF will further deepen its defense cooperation relationship with the Indian Navy, which are “special strategic global partner”, and work together in order to realize a Free and Open Indo-Pacific.”
Despite COVID-19, The Self-Defense Fleet makes full use of the characteristics of the naval force, flexibility and mobility, promotes cooperative relationship with partner countries, and contributes to support stability in the Indo-Pacific region.
