IPD21 force conducted bilateral exercise with USS Yukon

September 29, IPD21 unit JS KAGA and JS MURASAME conducted bilateral exercise with USS Yukon in the Indian Ocean, to enhance our tactical skills and interoperability between the JMSDF and the U.S. Navy.
Through regular joint training, the Self-Defense Fleet improves deterrence and response capabilities against any contingencies.
Also, despite COVID-19, we remain responsive and integrate with the U.S. Navy based on the strong Japan-U.S. alliance in order to realize a Free and Open Indo-Pacific, safeguard the peace and security of Japan, and contribute to support stability in the Indo-Pacific region.
