JS YUGIRI conducted bilateral exercise with Italian Navy

September 14, JS YUGIRI as the 39^th Deployment Surface Force for Counter piracy Enforcement, conducted bilateral exercise with ITS Federico Martinengo in the Gulf of Aden.
The Commanding Officer of JS YUGIRI, CDR KUMASIRO Takeshi, stated, “I feel honored to have been able to work with the Italian Navy, a group of people who share the same aspiration of realizing a Free and Open Indo-Pacific. Through this training, we improved our tactical skills and cooperation with the Italian Navy.”
Despite COVID-19, The Self-Defense Fleet remains responsive and deepen the cooperative relationship with the Italian Navy, in order to realize a Free and Open Indo-Pacific, safeguards the peace and security of Japan, and contributes to support stability in the Indo-Pacific region.
