JS YUGIRI conducted bilateral exercise with German Navy

August 29, JS YUGIRI as the 39th Deployment Surface Force for Counter piracy Enforcement, conducted bilateral exercise with FGS Bayern in the Gulf of Aden.
The Commanding Officer of JS YUGIRI, CDR KUMASHIRO Takeshi, stated, “I feel honored to have been able to work with the German Navy, a group of people who share the same aspiration of realizing a Free and Open Indo-Pacific. Through this training, we improved our tactical skills and cooperation with the German Navy.”
Despite COVID-19, The Self-Defense Fleet remains responsive and deepen the cooperative relationship with the German Navy, in order to realize a Free and Open Indo-Pacific, safeguards the peace and security of Japan, and contributes to support stability in the Indo-Pacific region.
