Visit of the Maritime Operations Center by Commander of the US Navy Pacific Fleet

On June 8, VADM YUASA Hideki, Commander of the Self-Defense Fleet, received a courtesy call at the Maritime Operations Center from ADM Samuel J. Paparo, Commander of the US Navy Pacific Fleet.
Both commanders exchanged views on the increasingly challenging security environment in the Indo-Pacific region and agreed that U.S. and Japanese naval forces will continue to work closely together in order to realize a Free and Open Indo-Pacific and contribute to peace and stability in the region.
The Self-Defense Fleet maintains a strong relationship with the US Navy based on the Japan-U.S. alliance and integrates to safeguard the peace and security of Japan, contribute to support stability of the Indo-Pacific region.
