JS FUYUZUKI conducted anti-aircraft missile launch training

From March 19-21, JS FUYUZUKI, currently on a training deployment to the US, conducted anti-aircraft missile launch training in the waters around Hawaii with the support of the US Navy.
Commander of JS FUYUZUKI (CDR OSE Koichiro) stated, “We believe that we were able to demonstrate the full capability of our installed weapon systems, succeeded in defeating a target, and improved our tactical skills. Due to the influence of COVID-19, there were various restrictions but we took all possible measures for COVID-19 prevention. Morale is high and we are ready to respond to new missions.”
Given the increasingly severe security environment surrounding Japan, the Self-Defense Fleet leverages these practical training events to enhance the deterrence and response capabilities of the Japan-U.S. Alliance in order to safeguard the peace and security of Japan and support stability in the region.
