Ceremonial Hall
This hall was built in 1917, and was designed as a place of ceremony and moral education. Tons of granite were used for its exterior and it can accommodate around 2000 people due to its large scale stairwell construction. This hall is currently used for graduations and entrance ceremonies of the students.

Students’ Hall “Red Brick Building”
Designed by a British architect who designed a similar building in Tsukiji in Tokyo, this hall was completed in 1893 and was used for class rooms and living quarters of the students. Originally, its roof was covered with Japanese tiles but they were changed for a slate-roof after the Aki-earthquake in 1905. Today, the students’ hall belongs to the Officer Candidate School and is still used for almost the same purpose as it was a hundred years ago.

Naval History Museum
This Greek style museum was built in 1936 and was paid for by the donations of alumni and various companies. In order to contribute to moral-discipline and study, about 40.000 of historical objects were preserved from before WWU.

At the end of the war, many of those objects, except some high-value items which were donated to major shrines in this region, were burned by museum personnel in order to avoid confiscation by the occupying forces.
Today, about 16.000 items which were returned from the occupying forces, are preserved and about 1.000 of them are displayed. More than 70.000 people visit this museum annually.
