Graduation Ceremony (The 29th Special Course)

On October 2nd, the graduation ceremony for the 29th Special Course was gracefully held at the Meguro Base auditorium, with the pleasure of Retired General Yutaka Shohdafs company, the 36th Commandant of Joint Staff College and President of Toh-Yu-Kai.
@The course purpose is for potential senior commanding or staff officers to master the high-level knowledge, particularly on the joint service operation of Japan Self-Defense Forces (JSDF). A total of 24 students completed the course with Rear Admiral Deguchi as a student leader, including 2 Rear Admirals and 22 Colonels/Captains.
@Since the course began on September 8th, the students have spent about four weeks to learn the most-up-to-date situation through lectures by some civil experts and JSDF senior executive officers of the department-director class from the Ichigaya headquarters. They also had field study tours to not only the JSDF sites, including Zama, Fuchu, Yokota, and Yokosuka, but also the U.S. Forces Japan headquarters and some other U.S. sites in Japan. As their final project, they presented the gresearch on joint operationh to conclude the course.
@The graduates will continue to dedicate themselves even more for JSDF in each assignment to achieve diverse missions, always asking themselves gwhat each of us should do.h We are sure that they will make most of the acquired experiences and the strong Kizuna (bond) built among the classmates regardless of services.
