The greeting of Commanding General of The Physical Training School
I am Major General Nanashima. I have assumed the position as Commanding General of the Physical Training School since December 2023. I would like to express my appreciation for your great encouragement for our school and athletes who participate in various sports competitions.
The Physical Training School takes on two roles: the first being the improvement of physical training and the combat skills of the Ground, Maritime, and Air Self-Defense Forces. The second is winning medals at the Olympic Games.
Never satisfied with our current situation, we are going to continue to challenge ourselves to reach even greater height.
The Paris Olympics will be staged this year. We are going to wholeheartedly fulfill our missions and exceed your expectations to brighten our history. We look forward to the continual understanding and support that you have already shown us.
