Fleet Master Chief, the Self-Defense Fleet participated in a Multilateral Exercise (RIMPAC2026) CSEL(Command Senior Enlisted Leader) Conference hosted by the U.S. Navy.
From June 30 to July 2, 2026, MWO SASAKI Hidenori, Fleet Master Chief, the Self-Defense Fleet participated in a Multilateral Exercise (RIMPAC2026) CSEL (Command Senior Enlisted Leader) Conference hosted by the U.S. Navy in Hawaii.
RIMPAC has been held almost every other year since 1971, and this marks its 30th edition. The JMSDF first participated RIMPAC in 1980, and RIMPAC 2026 marks the 24th iteration for the JMSDF. During this Conference, MWO SASAKI exchanged views on strengthening future cooperation with his counterparts from other participating countries.
The Self Defense Fleet maintains readiness and contributes to the peace and stability of the Indo-Pacific region, not only for the defense of Japan but also for the realization of a “Free and Open Indo-Pacific” in cooperation with allied and like-minded navies.
