The JMSDF conducted a Japan-U.S. bilateral exercise.

On 19th March, SH-60K from the JMSDF conducted Japan-U.S. bilateral exercise with MH-60R from the U.S. Navy at Sagami Bay.

The JMSDF and the U.S. Navy regularly work hand in hand to enhance readiness for contingencies. Through this exercise, the JMSDF improved tactical capabilities and interoperability by flying alongside the U.S. Navy.

The Self Defense Fleet maintains readiness and contributes to the peace and stability of the Indo-Pacific region, not only for the defense of Japan but also for the realization of a “Free and Open Indo-Pacific” in cooperation with allied and like-minded navies.
