Commander, Self Defense Fleet presented a letter of commendation to staff officers of the U.S. 7th Fleet.

On 19 February, VADM OMACHI Katsushi, Commander, Self Defense Fleet presented a letter of commendation to CAPT James M. Henry and LCDR Taketo Miura, U.S. 7th Fleet. Since assuming duties as staff officers of the U.S. 7th Fleet, they have closely coordinated with the staff of the Self Defense Fleet, which strengthened cooperation between the JMSDF and the U.S. Navy as well as contributed greatly to the enhancement of the Japan-U.S. alliance and our bilateral interoperability.

The Self Defense Fleet will continue to work closely with the U.S. Navy, from the commander to the staff and unit levels, and act together to maintain readiness and immediately respond to any contingencies, contributing to the defense of Japan and peace and stability of the Indo-Pacific region.
