JS ISE and JS SUZUNAMI conducted a Japan-U.S. bilateral exercise.

During 4 and 5 September, the Indo-Pacific Deployment 2025 (IPD25) units, JS ISE and JS SUZUNAMI conducted a Japan-U.S. bilateral exercise with USS HIGGINS in the vicinity of Guam island following their participation in the U.S.- hosted multilateral exercise “Pacific Vanguard 25” until 4 September.

JMSDF and USN are closely collaborating 24/7 and improving capabilities to cope with various kind of situations. Through the exercise, JMSDF improved tactical capabilities and interoperability with USN.

The Self Defense Fleet maintains readiness and contributes to the peace and stability of the Indo-Pacific region, not only for the defense of Japan but also for the realization of a “Free and Open Indo-Pacific” in cooperation with allied and like-minded navies.
