JS ASAHI conducted a Japan-Thailand Goodwill Exercise.

On 24 July, JS ASAHI, the 50th Deployment Surface Force for Counter Piracy Enforcement (DSPE) unit conducted a Japan-Thailand goodwill exercise with HTMS SONGKHLA in the vicinity of Sattahip.

Through the exercise, we improved JMSDF’s tactical capabilities, promoted friendship, and strengthened cooperation with Royal Thai Navy.

The Self Defense Fleet maintains readiness and contributes to the peace and stability of the Indo-Pacific region, not only for the defense of Japan but also for the realization of a “Free and Open Indo-Pacific” in cooperation with allied and like-minded navies.
