U.S. Naval Academy delegation visited Maritime Operation Center, JMSDF.

On 9th June, students from the U.S. Naval Academy (USNA) visited the Maritime Operation Center, JMSDF and payed a visit to Rear Admiral SATO Masahiro, the Chief of Staff, Self-Defense Fleet.

Through this visit, USNA students could deepen the insight into the security environment around Japan, see the cooperation between the Self-Defense Fleet and the U.S. SEVENTH Fleet as well as the strong ties of Japan-U.S. alliance, and imagine their future after graduation. Self-Defense Fleet expects as many USNA students to select Japan as their first tour to be stationed, and then contribute to the enhancement of Japan-U.S. alliance as members of the U.S. Naval Forces in Japan, such as in the SEVENTH Fleet, on destroyers under its command, and so on.

The Self-Defense Fleet maintains readiness for any possible situation, with all its members including the Commander, staffs, and ships closely coordinating with the U.S. Navy, and contributes to the defense of Japan as well as the peace and stability of the Indo-Pacific region.
