JS Yahagi conducted a Japan-Indonesia Goodwill Exercise.

On 15 May, JS Yahagi conducted a Japan-Indonesia Goodwill Exercise with KRI Cut Nyak Dien.

Through the exercise, JS Yahagi successfully improved the tactical capabilities and enhanced the mutual understanding with the Indonesian Navy. In recent years, Japan Self Defense Force is seeking for more opportunities for defense exchanges and interactions with the Indonesian National Armed Forces and the bilateral relationship between the navies is becoming even closer through each goodwill exercise and port of call.

The Self Defense Fleet maintains readiness and contributes to the peace and stability of the Indo-Pacific region, not only for the defense of Japan but also for the realization of a “Free and Open Indo-Pacific” in cooperation with allied and like-minded navies.
