JS Mashu supported HMAS Sydney for a replenishment at sea.

On 12 May, JS Mashu conducted a replenishment at sea with HMAS Sydney.

Australia is a “Special Strategic Partner” to Japan and we share fundamental values and strategic interests each other. In the vicinity of Japan, Australia is conducting patrol activities against illicit ship-to-ship transfers in which North Korean ship are involved.
Through the replenishment at sea , JS Mashu successfully improved its tactical capabilities and interoperability with HMAS Sydney.

The Self Defense Fleet maintains readiness and contributes to the peace and stability of the Indo-Pacific region, not only for the defense of Japan but also for the realization of a “Free and Open Indo-Pacific” in cooperation with allied and like-minded navies.
