JS OUMI conducted a Japan-Italy Bilateral Exercise.

On 28 April, JS Oumi conducted a Japan-Italy Bilateral Exercise with ITS Antonio Marceglia in East China Sea.

Italy is an important partner for Japan in order to realize “Free and Open Indo-Pacific”. Through the exercise, JS Oumi improved tactical capabilities and strengthened cooperation with Italian Navy.

The Self Defense Fleet maintains readiness and contributes to the peace and stability of the Indo-Pacific region, not only for the defense of Japan but also for the realization of a “Free and Open Indo-Pacific” in cooperation with allied and like-minded navies.
