Commander, Self-Defense Fleet presented a Certificate of Appreciation to U.S. 7th Fleet Staff.

VADM OMACHI Katsushi, Commander, Self Defense Fleet presented a Certificate of Appreciation to CDR Kenji Igawa, U.S. 7th Fleet. Since September 2023, as Current Operations Director of the U.S. SEVENTH Fleet, CDR Igawa significantly contributed to the enhancement of the U.S.-Japan alliance as well as interoperability between the Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force and the United States Navy.

The Self Defense Fleet will continue to work closely with the U.S. Navy, from the commander to the staff and unit levels, and act together to maintain readiness and immediately respond to any contingencies, contributing to the defense of Japan and peace and stability of the Indo-Pacific region.
