JS IKAZUCHI conducted a Japan-U.S bilateral exercise.

On March 21th, JS Ikazuchi conducted a Japan-U.S. bilateral exercise between the East China Sea and the Western Pacific Ocean with USS CARL VINSON and other ships.

JMSDF and USN are closely collaborating 24/7 and improving capabilities to cope with various kind of situations. Through the exercise, JMSDF improved tactical capabilities and interoperability with USN.

The Self Defense Fleet maintains readiness and contributes to the peace and stability of the Indo-Pacific region, not only for the defense of Japan but also for the realization of a “Free and Open Indo-Pacific” in cooperation with allied and like-minded navies.
