JS IKAZUCHI conducted a Japan-U.S.-ROK Trilateral Exercise.

During March 17th through 20th, JS Ikazuchi conducted a Japan-U.S.-ROK trilateral exercise in East China Sea with USS CARL VINSON, ROKS SEJONG THE GREAT and other ships.

Through the exercise, JMSDF improved tactical capabilities and strengthened cooperation with participating navies. Japan-U.S.-ROK shares the common interest for the peace and stability of the Indo-Pacific region and commit to ensure the security and prosperity as well as rules-based international order utilizing the opportunities among the countries.

The Self Defense Fleet maintains readiness and contributes to the peace and stability of the Indo-Pacific region, not only for the defense of Japan but also for the realization of a “Free and Open Indo-Pacific” in cooperation with allied and like-minded navies.
