JS NOSHIRO visited Perth, Australia.
Between March 11th and 15th, JS NOSHIRO participating in Frigate Training in the Pacific area visited Perth, Australia. JS NOSHIRO is conducting joint exercises with RAN and other navies in order to realize “Free and Open Indo-Pacific” improving the JMSDF’s tactical capabilities as well as enhancing mutual understanding and relationship with partner navies.
During JS NOSHIRO’s visit to Perth, Commander, HORI Tetsunobu, Commanding Officer, JS NOSHIRO had a office call to CAPT Ken Burleigh, Commanding Officer, Fleet Base West, RAN and JS NOSHIRO had good-will events as well as opportunities for enhancing mutual understandings through a defense exchange such as open ship and so on. Besides that, JS NOSHIRO also had a visit by Ms. Siriana Nair, U.S. Consul General in Perth, Australia.
The Self Defense Fleet maintains readiness and contributes to the peace and stability of the Indo-Pacific region, not only for the defense of Japan but also for the realization of a “Free and Open Indo-Pacific” in cooperation with allied and like-minded navies.
