The Self Defense Fleet participated in Self-Defense Forces Joint Rescue Exercise.

During 13-17 January, the Self Defense Fleet participated in Self-Defense Forces Joint Rescue Exercise. The exercise is a Self-Defense Forces’ disaster relief activities led by Middle Army, GSDF and the objective is to maintain JSDF’s readiness and prepare for the Nankai Trough Earthquake. The exercise focuses on Information Sharing, Search and Rescue, Support for Local Infrastructures and Civilian’s Life as well as Logistic and Passenger Transportation.

Based on our firm determination to protect the lives and property of citizens, the Self Defense Fleet is committed to conducting various exercises and surveillance activities as well as to further strengthening the Japan-U.S. Alliance in order to respond promptly and appropriately to any situation including disaster response.
