55th DAPE participated in Multilateral Exercise (Bull Shark 25-1).

55th Deployment Air Force for Counter Piracy Enforcement (DAPE) conducted a multilateral exercise (Bull shark 25-1) with the U.S. Navy, EU Naval force (Spain) and the Royal Djiboutian Navy and the Djiboutian Coast Guard off Northwest Coast of Djibouti.

“JMSDF’s P-3C participated in the exercise for the first time, it was not only to improve interoperability with the participating countries but also to deepen mutual understanding with the Djiboutian Navy. I believe that the cooperation with the navies will contribute to the regional peace and stability,” CDR TAKAHASHI Keita, Commander DAPE, said.

The Self Defense Fleet maintains readiness and contributes to the peace and stability of the Indo-Pacific region, not only for the defense of Japan but also for the realization of a “Free and Open Ocean” in cooperation with allied and like-minded navies.
