JS SAMIDARE conducted a Japan-Malaysia goodwill exercise.
JS SAMIDARE conducted a Japan-Malaysia goodwill exercise with KD TERENGGANU and KD KASTURI. After the exercise, JS SAMIDARE visited Port Klang, Malaysia.
During the port of call, Commander KOGA Naoki, Commanding Officer of JS SAMIDARE met and escorted Mr. SHIKATA Noriyuki, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan to the Malaysia and paid a courtesy visit to Deputy Commander of NHC (National Hydrographic Centre) as well as conducted a ship tour for Royal Malaysian Navy (RMN) officers and sailors to deepen friendly relationship between the JMSDF and the RMN.
Commander KOGA said, “I feel very privileged to have the opportunity to conduct a goodwill exercise with the RMN. Through the exercise, we have promoted friendship and mutual understanding with the RMN. We will continue to faithfully carry out our duties and contribute to the realization of the Free and Open Indo-Pacific.”
The Self Defense Fleet maintains readiness and contributes to the peace and stability of the Indo-Pacific region, not only for the defense of Japan but also for the realization of a “Free and Open Indo-Pacific” in cooperation with allied and like-minded navies.
