JS SAMIDARE conducted a Japan-Sri Lanka goodwill exercise.

JS SAMIDARE conducted a Japan-Sri Lanka goodwill exercise with SLNS GAJABAHU in waters off Colombo.

Commander KOGA Naoki, Commanding Officer of JS SAMIDARE said, ‘’ At it was the second exercise with the Sri Lanka navy in our deployment, we were able to further enhance our tactical capabilities and promote mutual understanding with the Sri Lanka Navy. We will continue to contribute to the peace and stability of the Indo-Pacific region by strengthening cooperation with allied and like-minded navies.’’

The Self Defense Fleet maintains readiness and contributes to the peace and stability of the region, not only for the defense of Japan but also for the realization of a “Free and Open Indo-Pacific” in cooperation with the allied and like-minded navies.
