CAPT TAKEUCHI Shusaku, Commanding Officer of the JS KAGA, said, “Through the training, we improved our tactical capability and interoperability between the JMSDF and the U.S. Navy for logistics cooperation. The U.S. military recently provided us with its phenomenal support that helped us successfully implement our development test of operating F-35B onboard JS KAGA. The JMSDF and the U.S. Navy have been working together in various fields more closely than ever before. We will continue to carry out our missions for strengthening the deterrence and response capabilities of the Japan-U.S. Alliance as well as ensuring regional peace and stability.”
The Self Defense Fleet maintains readiness and contributes to the peace and stability of the Indo-Pacific region, not only for the defense of Japan but also for the realization of a “Free and Open Indo-Pacific” in cooperation with allied and like-minded navies.
