JS HAGURO participated in a Japan-U.S.-ROK trilateral exercise “Freedom Edge 24-2”.
JS HAGURO participated in a Japan-U.S.-ROK trilateral exercise (Freedom Edge 24-2) with P-3C patrol aircraft, JASDF F-15 fighter, F-2 fighter and E-767 AEW&C aircraft.
This exercise, Republic of Korea’s ROKS Seoae-Ryu-Seong-ryong, Chungmugong-Yi-Sun-sin, P-3, F-35 and F-15, and the United States’ USS George Washington, USS Higgins, USS McCampbell, USS Dewey, P-8, F-35, F-18 and KC-135 participated.
“Through the trilateral exercise, we were able to demonstrated defensive posture and unbreakable will of Japan, the ROK, and the U.S. to promote trilateral multi-domain interoperability and protect freedom for peace and stability in the Indo-Pacific, including the Korean Peninsula. JMSDF will maintain to commit for the “Free and Open Indo-Pacific,” RADM NATSUI Takashi, Commander, Escort Flotilla 4, said.
The Self Defense Fleet maintains readiness and contributes to the peace and stability of the Indo-Pacific region, not only for the defense of Japan but also for the “Free and Open Indo-Pacific” in cooperation with allied and like-minded navies.
