The 2nd Surface Unit of the Indo-Pacific Deployment 2024 (IPD24), JS ARIAKE conducted a Japan-India bilateral exercise.

JS ARIAKE as the 2nd Surface Unit of the Indo-Pacific Deployment 2024 (IPD 24) conducted a Japan-India bilateral exercise with INS SHAKTI in the Gulf of Bengal.

“Through the bilateral exercise with INS SHAKTI, fleet tanker, we improved the tactical capabilities and showed a close bond with Indian Navy. Specifically, one of the biggest achievements was the successful collaboration in logistic aspects. We will continue to work for the peace and stability as well as the maritime order of the region in order to realize a “Free and Open Indo-Pacific,” RADM YOKOTA Kazushi, Commander, Escort Flotilla 3 said.

The Self Defense Fleet maintains readiness and contributes to the peace and stability of the Indo-Pacific region, not only for the defense of Japan but also for the realization of a “Free and Open Indo-Pacific” in cooperation with allied and like-minded navies.
