The 2nd Surface Unit of the Indo-Pacific Deployment 2024 (IPD24), JS ARIAKE conducted a Japan-Australia bilateral exercise (Trident 24-2)

JS ARIAKE as the 2nd Surface Unit of the Indo-Pacific Deployment 2024 (IPD 24) conducted a Japan-Australia bilateral exercise (Trident 24-2) with HMAS STUART in the Andaman Sea.

“Through the bilateral exercise followed by KAKADU, we successfully showed a close bond by cooperating with Royal Australian Navy and improving the tactical capabilities. We will continue to work for the peace and stability as well as the maritime order of the region in order to realize a “Free and Open Indo-Pacific,” RADM YOKOTA Kazushi, Commander, Escort Flotilla 3 said.

The Self Defense Fleet maintains readiness and contributes to the peace and stability of the Indo-Pacific region, not only for the defense of Japan but also for the realization of a “Free and Open Indo-Pacific” in cooperation with allied and like-minded navies.
