JS SAMIDARE conducted a Japan-Pakistan goodwill exercise.

The 48th Deployment Surface Force for Counter Piracy Enforcement (DSPE) Unit, JS SAMIDARE conducted a Japan-Pakistan goodwill exercise in the east of Gulf of Oman with the Pakistan Navy PNS YARMOOK.
The Commanding Officer of JS SAMIDARE, Commander KOGA Naoki said, “Through the exercise, we improved our tactical capabilities and a mutual understanding between the JMSDF and the Pakistan Navy. We will contribute to deterring pirate activities and ensuring the safe navigation of merchant vessels navigating in our operation area through exercises with partner nations’ navies in the Gulf of Oman.”
The Self Defense Fleet maintains readiness and contributes to the peace and stability of the Indo-Pacific region, not only for the defense of Japan but also for the realization of a “Free and Open Indo-Pacific” in cooperation with allied and like-minded navies.
