The Self-Defense Fleet held a change of command.

On July 19, the Self Defense Fleet held a change of command ceremony. VADM OMACHI Katsushi relieved VADM SAITO Akira as the 53rd Commander in Chief of the Self Defense Fleet.
The Self Defense Fleet readiness to ensure the peace and stability of Japan in cooperation with allied and likeminded navies, contributing to the stability in the Indo-Pacific region, in order to realize a “Free and Open Indo-Pacific.”
