JS SAZANAMI conducted a Japan-Seychelles Goodwill Exercise.

The 47th Deployment Surface Force Counter Piracy Enforcement (DSPE) unit, JS SAZANAMI conducted a Japan- Seychelles Goodwill Exercise with SAF DORNIER in the vicinity of Victoria.
The Commanding Officer of JS SAZANAMI, Commander BAN Masayuki said, “Through the exercise, we improved our tactical capabilities and mutual understanding between the JMSDF and the Seychelles Air Force. We feel proud and rewarded to be able to conduct the exercise at sea with Seychelles Air Force, which has a friendly relationship with Japan. We will continue to perform our duties while maintaining readiness to respond to various contingencies.”
The Self Defense Fleet maintains readiness and contributes to the peace and stability of the Indo-Pacific region, not only for the defense of Japan but also for the realization of a “Free and Open Indo-Pacific” in cooperation with allied and like-minded navies.
