JS SAMIDARE conducted a Japan- Bahrain goodwill exercise.

The 48th Deployment Surface Force Counter Piracy Enforcement (DSPE) unit, JS SAMIDARE conducted a Japan-Bahrain goodwill exercise with FSGH AL MUHARRAQ.
The Commanding Officer of JS SAMIDARE, CDR KOGA Naoki said,“The CINCSDF visited Bahrain in March this year, and in the discussion with the Commander of the Royal Bahrain Navy, the two commanders agreed to actively conduct bilateral exercises as a measure to strengthen cooperation between the JMSDF and the Royal Bahrain Navy. I feel truly honored to be able to participate in this second goodwill exercise between the JMSDF and the Royal Bahrain Navy. Through the exercise, we have promoted friendship and mutual understanding with the Royal Bahrain Navy. We will continue to faithfully carry out our assigned missions and contribute to the realization of a Free and Open Indo-Pacific.”
The Self Defense Fleet maintains readiness and contributes to the peace and stability of the Indo-Pacific region, not only for the defense of Japan but also for the realization of a “Free and Open Indo-Pacific” in cooperation with allied and like-minded navies.
