The Indo-Pacific Deployment 2024 (IPD24), 3rd Surface Unit, JS NOSHIRO conducted a Japan-UK-Australia trilateral exercise.
The Indo-Pacific Deployment 2024 (IPD24), 3rd Surface Unit, JS NOSHIRO conducted a Japan-UK-Australia trilateral exercise with Royal Navy HMS TAMAR and Royal Australian Navy HAMS CHOULES.
Commanding Officer of JS NOSHIRO, CDR HORI Tetsunobu, said, "Through the trilateral exercise, we improved our tactical capabilities and strengthened cooperation with the Royal Navy and the Royal Australian Navy. The UK and Australia are special partners in realizing a “Free and Open Indo-Pacific, and I am pleased to have had the opportunity to work with their naval forces in the South Pacific. We will continue to carry out our assigned missions in IPD 24.”
The Self Defense Fleet maintains readiness and contributes to the peace and stability of the Indo-Pacific region, not only for the defense of Japan but also for the realization of a“Free and Open Indo-Pacific”in cooperation with allied and like-minded navies.
