EP-3 conducted Dispatched Electromagnetic Maneuver Warfare Training in the U.S.

From February 24 to March 7, 2023, EP-3 from Fleet Air Wing 31 conducted Dispatched Electromagnetic Maneuver Warfare Training and a bilateral exercise with EP-3E and EA-18G in U.S. Washington Naval Air Station Whidbey Island and Airspace around the Station.
CDR MURAKAMI Mariyo, the dispatch commander, said, "The U.S. Navy is committed to expanding electronic warfare training and equipment and to enhancing cooperation with its allies under an initiative to aggressively achieve its dominance in the electromagnetic domain. Through this exercise, we improved our tactical capabilities of electronic maneuver warfare and interoperability with the U.S. Navy.”
The Self-Defense Fleet maintains readiness and contributes to the peace and stability of the Indo-Pacific region, not only for the defense of Japan but also for the realization of a "Free and Open Indo-Pacific" in cooperation with allied navies.
