JS MYOKO SURFACE GUN TRAINING
Late August 2019, JS MYOKO(DDG-175) conducted Surface Gunnery Training using illumination rounds to increase their proficiency of operating the weapons systems at night.
In this exercise, at first JS MYOKO fired illumination rounds to illuminate surface targets at night; JS MYOKO and the other ships in company then fired upon the targets. This operation required a high level of skill, and resulted in a large amount of high-level training.
