On May 22, Rear Admiral HOSHI Naoya, Director General of Logistics Department, Maritime Staff Office (MSO) participated in the Combined Naval Event 2025 held in the UK and gave a keynote speech on future operational domains and capability building. The event was attended by a large number of participants from the U.K. and other navies and companies, and provided an opportunity for the JMSDF's efforts to be widely publicized. The event also provided an opportunity for meaningful exchanges with both the public and private sectors, including exchanges of opinions with Vice Admiral Andrew, Commander of the Royal Fleet, and other senior naval officials, as well as visits to companies. JMSDF will deepen defense cooperation and exchanges to realize the #Free and Open Indo-Pacific (FOIP).
