ADM Saito, Chief of staff, JMSDF, visited Indonesia and met with Defense Minister Sjafrie and Navy Chief ADM Ali. They shared views on the maritime situation surrounding both nations, and confirmed stronger naval cooperation for regional peace and stability.
Located at the heart of the Indo-Pacific, the Indonesian Navy has long safeguarded vital sea lanes—benefiting not only Indonesia but the entire international community, including Japan, and contributing to a Free and Open Indo-Pacific(FOIP).
JMSDF expresses deep respect for the Indonesian Navy’s contributions and traditions and will further strengthen cooperation through this visit.
