On Wednesday, 16 September 2026, General (ret.) Mieczysław GOCUŁ, PhD, Rector of the War Studies University (WSU), Republic of Poland, visited the Japan Joint Staff College（JJSC）. In March of this year, JJSC and WSU signed a Letter of Intent (LOI) to establish a comprehensive framework in areas of mutual interest, and in this visit, JJSC and WSU exchanged views toward development of further cooperation.

Japan and Poland is in 'Comprehensive Strategic Partnership’, and through educational and research exchanges, JJSC will promote defense cooperation and exchanges between the two countries.
