On Thursday, 3 September 2026, a delegation led by General Alcio Alves Almeida e Costa, Chief of Strategic Affairs, Joint General Staff of the Armed Forces, Brazil, visited the Japan Joint Staff College (JJSC) in the Meguro district.

The visit took place during General’s stay in Japan for the Japan-Brazil Military to Military (MM) Dialogue. During the visit, the delegation held discussions with Vice Admiral Takada, JJSC Commandant, as well as commandants of the three service educational institutions. The delegation also received a briefing from JJSC on the education and research activities of the four institutions.

Brazil is a “Strategic and Global Partner”, and through educational and research exchanges, JJSC will contribute to enhancing defense cooperation and exchanges between the two countries.
